I’ve been dieting now for a week– practically starving myself– and NOTHING. Same weight. I’ve even cut out the alcohol… wtf.

[30-something Female to her Friend at the Bar]: ”My boss has been such a bitch lately. When she gets on my shit, I just go quiet. She hates that. She’s afraid of me when I go quiet. I know ’cause she leaves me alone… “
Now, I’m not really sure why I found this little coversation so humorous, but I did. Not knowing her, or her boss, I really can’t give an opinion as to whether or not I agree with her perception of her boss being afraid of her when she “goes quiet.” However, having been in a prior management position, whenever I’ve been a “bitch” and given an employee “shit,” I’ve never once left them alone OUT OF FEAR when they’ve finally “gone quiet.” More likely, I’ve chosen to leave them alone ’cause–
Tsk, tsk… me thinks someone at the bar needs to read “Art of War.” I’ve always thought that underestimating an individual– any individual– is a GRAVE MISTAKE. Besides, why would anyone want to intentionally upset the boss? You may want to sleep with them to “get ahead” in the future. Why fuck up a potential future opportunity?

That damn little piggy needs to quit going to market…
Same cube, same farm– but NEW HOURS.
Starting earlier, but leaving earlier too. Will now miss that rush hour traffic (both coming and going). This is gonna be great for those spring training runs. Go me…

Ran 10 miles this weekend; drank 3 martinis and a bottle of white wine (not on the same evening… mind you).
Something’s wrong with this picture…
(I need discipline, people!– somebody spank me)
