Sick

and tired.  took a second day off work.  chest still tight.  but fever gone.  no running for five days now.  maybe this weekend?  wanting warm weather.  wanting a new life.  feeling messy and out of place.  and so very thirsty…

Real Life Do-over

in another life, i see a small house.  white, with a front porch.  it’s old style.  bungalow-type.  a few wicker pieces on the porch.  chintz sofa in living room.  girly-girl fabrics and colors.  baby blues, whites– lots of white.  cotton and wicker.  glass and china.  black and white photos scattered haphazardly.  fluffy white slippers to match fluffy white pillows.  tall glass vases filled with lilac branches.  dark, hardwood floors– nicked and scratched.  lived-in, not perfect.
