1.5 hrs of tennis this evening with a dear friend. it’s been 8 years since i last picked up my racquet. 8 years. took me a good 1/2 hr just to get the timing back. and my backhand– lord, it’s gonna take a lot longer than 1.5 hrs to get that back. thank goodness my legs were up to the challenge.
one thing’s for certain– my back’s gonna be screamin’ tomorrow morning. i definitely used some lower back muscles that NEVER get used during my runs. oh, and i have a few “hot spots” on the balls of my feet– which kinda surprises me as they’re pretty calloused over from all the running.
all in all, i must not have been too bad– my presence was requested again next week. same place, same time.
